MSC Canada awarded with the FCA Leadership Award

MSC was presented with the FCA Leadership Award for Environmental Excellence by the Canadian
International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFFA)*, during the ‘Forwarders Celebrating Associates’ regional event in Toronto. During this event, associate member firms are recognized for their socially responsible contributions to the community.

The FCA Leadership Awards were presented in four categories: Environmental Excellence, Humanitarian Excellence, Excellence in Innovation, and Outstanding Community Contributions, with MSC taking home the award for Environmental Excellence. We had the opportunity to showcase our initiatives through a simple application process followed by a regional committee selection. We were recognized for our global vision on Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability.

A few of the initiatives we showcased were: being co-founders and current members of the Cargo Incident Notification System (CINS), taking an active part in the Environmental Ship Index, and being recognized as a leader in emissions control by the Port of Long Beach with the Green Flag and Green Ship awards.
* CIFFA FCA Leadership Awards are held annually with three regional events. The Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association was founded in September 1948.
