BIMCO has supported a report identifying ways to reduce red tape for shipping which will be presented to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) next week in London.
The report comes from the Ad Hoc Steering Group for Reducing Administrative Requirements (SG-RAR), set up by the IMO in 2012, and contains their findings and conclusions on the best ways to lessen administrative burdens associated with mandatory IMO conventions and codes. MOL, Tokyo LNG Tanker to build and charter LNG Carrier
Japan’s Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL) has concluded a basic agreement on joint ownership and 20-year charter contract for a newbuilding LNG carrier with Tokyo LNG Tanker, and signed a contract with Japan Marine United Corporation (JMU) for the construction of the new vessel.
