Dutch Safety Regions select RescueSim for incident command training

Following an official tender for delivery and installation of a virtual training system, the Safety Regions Kennemerland and Zaanstreek-Waterland have selected RescueSim as
their virtual training tool of choice to further enhance their incident command training courses.
Throughout the tender process, various virtual training systems were evaluated based on their ability to offer a diverse range of Dutch-modeled training environments that included all relevant incident response elements. Further requirements that were judged included the ease-of-use for instructors and the ability to provide realistic, cost effective and safe emergency response training through a comprehensive scenario portfolio.

Following a thorough evaluation and comparison RescueSim was found to comply with all the set requirements and specifications by the Safety Regions and was lauded as the most economically solid, high quality and cost effective solution.

The Safety Regions in the Netherlands, 25 in total, represent the interests of the local municipalities with regards to firefighting, emergency response and crisis management, as well as medical assistance for accidents and disasters. They are responsible for management and coordination of public safety.

Joost van Ree, VSTEP Sales Director: "The Dutch Safety Regions uphold the highest standards for training of its personnel. We are proud that RescueSim has become part of the Kennemerland and Zaanstreek-Waterland Safety Region's training curriculum and is the simulator of choice to assist them in maintaining these high standards for incident command training. RescueSim allows the Safety Regions to create and train any possible incident scenario they may encounter and assess the competencies of all command roles against the required national standards. We look forward to continuing this relationship for years to come!"

Both Safety Regions have signed a 3 year contract with VSTEP and RescueSim will be integrated into their incident command training courses starting June 1st, 2015.
