The International Astronautical Federation (IAF), the German Aerospace Center (DLR), the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology announced that the Global Space Innovation Conference – GLIC 2015 (Munich, 23 – 25 June) programme is now finalized.
The GLIC 2015 programme will bring together start-ups and young enterprises in the space technology and applications sector with space agencies, governmental entities and space industries corporations. For the first time, these two space worlds will come together to discuss and share opinions on cutting-edge research acknowledgements,
innovative approaches to technology transfers and, most importantly, financial and non-financial support to new space entrepreneurs.
GLIC 2015 will kick-off with two exciting events: a SpaceUp Unconference, dedicated to the younger space generations, where participants will decide the topics, the schedule and the structure of the event and will discuss space innovation; and a “Global CTO Conversation” chaired by Dr. Robie I. Samanta Roy, Vice President Technology and Innovation at Lockheed Martin Corporation. This panel discussion of distinguished chief technology officers and forward-thinking private and public sector leaders will look at innovation ecosystems and the growing need to accelerate the development of new technologies from lab to products.
