MOL receives letter of thanks for Emergency Aid

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. announced yesterday that it made the decision to provide emergency aid to the Republic of Liberia, where victims of the Ebola virus were increasing. On November 10, a letter
of thanks for the aid to the Republic of Liberia was delivered from LISCR LLC the company that registers Liberian vessels. The letter was delivered by Scott Bergerson, CEO of LISCR, who said, “More and more aid is coming in from abroad, but MOL made the decision to deliver the aid before anyone else, therefore I take this opportunity to offer this letter of gratitude in place of CEO of the Liberian Maritime Authority Binyah Kesselly.”

MOL’s aid was used to help purchase PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) suits, goggles, surgical gloves, respirators, etc., which were airlifted from the United States and arrived in the Liberian Capital, Monrovia, on 5th November. The supplies will be delivered to hospitals indicated by the Liberian Ministry of Health & Social Welfare in Liberia. MOL offers its condolences and prays that the Ebola virus will soon run its course and those infected and those uninfected can return to their normal lives at the earliest possible moment.
