Sue Terpilowski OBE elected as new WISTA-UK President

WISTA-UK announced the election of its new President – Sue Terpilowski OBE, at the Annual General Meeting held before its Anti-bribery and Anti-corruption debate at Mazars LLP Tower Bridge House in London at the end of April 2015.
Sue has been actively involved with the maritime industry for over 30 years. She is the owner and managing director of Image Line Communications – a specialist maritime, logistics and supply chain communications agency which she set up 27 years ago. She has also spent the last eight years as London Policy Chairmanfor the
Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and in 2014 received an OBE for her commitment to the promotion, protection and lobbying of micro and small businesses in the London.
Sue began serving as Acting President for WISTA-UK in mid-November 2014 after former President, Maria Dixon Maria served six years as President.

Maria was elected as President of WISTA-UK in 2008 and after a term of venerable success and commendation she was then re-elected in 2011. She has been a shipping consultant for over 30 years, running her family business ISM Shipping Solutions LTD which specialises in Panama Flag issues for shipping and business. Having been a member of WISTA-UK for over 20 years, Maria has developed a true passion for the maritime industry and determination to see more women in the industry flourish with their potential.

“WISTA-UK owes a great deal to Maria. Her energy and commitment in getting WISTA-UK firmly ensconced in the international maritime arena has been truly invaluable so on behalf of WISTA-UK I’d like to extend my warmest thanks for all the work she has done over the past six years,” said Sue.
Maria will remain a key advocate for WISTA-UK through continued support and help to shape events and activities throughout the course of the year.
